Year-long bridge replacement project restricts traffic on Highway 31 South in Athens

ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT) – The Alabama Department of Transportation announced a bridge replacement project on Highway 31 South near the rock quarry.

ALDOT says south bound traffic will be down to one lane.

The bridge replacement is expected to take about one year. Drivers are encouraged to use caution.
