MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – Alabama State Troopers are looking into the cause of a single-vehicle wreck that killed one person.

It happened on Pulaski Pike near Opp Reynolds Road around 10:45 Tuesday night.

According to Alabama State Troopers, the driver, identified as 41-year-old Mary Wilson of Toney, was traveling north on Pulaski Pike. Investigators say the vehicle went off the road, snapped a utility pole in two, flipped several times and traveled nearly 300 yards before coming to a rest upside down.

We are told Wilson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alabama State Troopers say speed was a factor in this wreck.
