HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police have corrected an earlier statement about an arrest in a Tuesday night shooting. They say there has been no arrest yet.

The shooting happened on Ashland Drive just outside the Park at Redstone Apartments. One person was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

Emergency crews were called to the area around 10:15 p.m. When crews arrived, they found a female in her mid-20’s shot once.

At this time, it is unknown what led to the shooting.

Earlier this morning, police had identified Timothy Sims, 25, as the gunman. They reported he was charged with first degree assault. Huntsville Police has since corrected that statement saying no one has been arrested for the actual shooting.

Police said they were looking for three people they believed to have been connected to the case.
