Head football coach named for Jemison High School

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville City Schools has announced a head football coach for the city’s newest high school. Former Alabama Defensive Lineman Kelvis White was announced as the coach for Jemison High School at Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting.

White has spent the last eight years as the head football coach at Dothan High School. While there, he led his team to multiple play-off appearances. He also helped more than 70 of his students sign college scholarships.

White was a star football player of Courtland High School while his father, Hall of Fame Coach Louis White, was coaching. He played at the University of Alabama as a defensive lineman under Coach Gene Stallings and Mike Dubose. He also served as a defensive line coach at Birmingham Southern and Russellville High School.
