HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A group of volunteers associated with Leadership Huntsville/Madison County called Seeds of Service will host a youth volunteer fair Thursday afternoon.

It will be at Early Works museum 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Twenty-five local agencies will feature volunteer opportunities aimed at those raging from 5th grade students to high school seniors.

The goal of the fair is to link youth volunteers to the organizations to increase youth volunteerism in the community.

There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served.

Any interested student, parent, scout leader, coaches, church youth leaders and the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Organizations attending include: AGAPE, American Cancer Society, CASA, Christmas Charities, Downtown Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, U.S. Space and Rocket Center, United Way, Greater Huntsville Humane Society, Manna House, the Huntsville Botanical Garden and others.

Students can use this as an opportunity to learn how to volunteer to receive credit for service hours toward school and sports requirements, or to help boost a college application.
