Investigators say a man arrived at Huntsville Hospital early this morning with a gunshot wound to his face. He said it happened on Brett Road.

Officer's say they had reason to believe the shooter was still inside the home, so they blocked off the neighborhood to search the home. Before they did so, they contacted neighbors, asking them to move to a safe place inside their homes.

Lt. Danley with the Huntsville Police Department says K-9 officers searched the home and the area, but didn't find the suspect.

Officers say they are looking with a black male, roughly 6-feet tall and 200 lbs. The man has a mo-hawk and an "island-type accent." At the time of the crime, he was wearing a green collared shirt and blue jeans.

If you have any information on the shooting, or where police can find the person they're looking for, please call Huntsville Police.
