Lady Chargers Top Lions in Regular Season Finale

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( - The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team capped off the regular season in fine form on Saturday, defeating visiting rival North Alabama 58-51 in front of a capacity crowd at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. The Chargers move to 15-11 (12-10 Gulf South Conference) with the victory, while UNA slips to 5-22 (4-18 GSC).

UAH will now turn its attention to the 2016 GSC Women's Basketball Championships as the squad travels to Rome, Georgia, on Tuesday as the six seed in the tournament and will face No. 3 seed Shorter at 6 p.m. CST.

The contest on Saturday marked the final home game for UAH's seniors – Halle Jarnagin, Sara Jarnagin, Dina Saunders, and Josi Saunders – and each of the four landed on the scoresheet in helping the Chargers to the win.
