FLORENCE, Ala. - A jury has found a Shoals man guilty of lying during his brother's murder trial.  The jury found Shannon Johnson guilty of first-degree perjury on Tuesday.

Jurors deliberated for about 45 minutes.

In 2012, Shannon Johnson agreed to plead guilty to manslaughter and testify against his brother Shawn.  The agreement was revoked when Shannon Johnson admitted to lying while under oath, when he entered the plea.

Shannon Johnson said during his brother's trial that neither one of them were involved in the 2000 beating death of Keith Barnett.
