FDNY: 1 dead, 2 serious after crane collapse in Lower Manhattan

NEW YORK (AP) — The FDNY says it’s at the scene of a crane collapse in Lower Manhattan.

According to the fire department’s twitter account, one person is dead, two others are in serious condition.

The accident was reported around 8:25 a.m. Friday in the Tribeca neighborhood. The crane landed across several parked cars, smashing their roofs.
