Man wanted in Limestone County shooting investigation now in custody

MADISON, Ala. – The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a man wanted for questioning as part of a shooting investigation has been found. Ramon Minjares Sanchez is charged with Assault 1st Degree and is being held in the Limestone County Jail.

Sanchez, 37, was caught just after 3 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity.

The shooting happened Monday night on Cotton Tree Way, near Greenbrier Road.

Deputies received a call from Madison Police Department shortly after 9:00 p.m. when the victim drove himself to Madison Hospital and checked himself in with two gunshot wounds to his left arm. He was transported to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition, but is recovering.
