Some school activities cancelled for Saturday, Jan. 23

Some school systems have cancelled activities for Saturday, Jan. 23.  A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Tennessee Valley through 6am Saturday.  Please stay up to date on the forecast.

  • Athens City Schools – all Saturday activities canceled
  • Athens State – all Saturday classes canceled
  • Calhoun Community College –  all Saturday classes canceled
  • Dekalb County basketball tournament – All Saturday games have been canceled and will resume on Monday
  • Drake State Community and Technical College – all Saturday classes canceled
  • Huntsville City Schools – all Saturday events cancelled due to travel concerns
  • Jackson County basketball tournament – All Saturday games have been canceled
  • Limestone County basketball tournament at Clements High – all games scheduled for Saturday have been postponed.  Make-up game dates to be announced at a later date.
  • Madison County Rural Recreation (MCRR) Basketball games and practices scheduled for today have been canceled
  • Saturday S.A.T. testing at Bob Jones rescheduled to Feb. 20 at Discovery Middle. Saturday AP study sessions at James Clemens canceled.
  • Randolph School – SAT administration for Saturday, January 23rd is canceled.
