DECATUR, Ala. – An investigation into a weekend shooting resulted in the arrest of two people in Decatur.

Police said they responded to a shooting at the intersection of Spring Ave. SW and Bradley St. SW on Jan. 17. There, they found the victim, identified as Dyron Rashad Primus, suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. He was transported to Huntsville Hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries.

After an investigation, Laportia Rene Reed and Marcus Trashawn Wallace were arrested and both  charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree and Assault in the 2nd Degree, police said.

There’s no word on the circumstances behind the shooting.
