HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) A few weeks ago, we featured County Line Road in our Driving You Crazy segment. Well since then, we heard from plenty of you telling us about Wall Triana Boulevard, south of Interstate 565. Many viewers told us it's in even worse shape than County Line Road, and so that's where we went for this week's Driving You Crazy report.

Back around the Boeing facility, the roadway isn't quite as bad. There's not as much traffic on this end of Wall Triana. But the closer you get to I-565, the worse the road becomes. In fact, by the time the interstate is in sight, so is the worst of the roadway conditions along Wall Triana. It's easy to see where the surface has simply dried with age. It's cracking and beginning to turn loose in several areas.

The old pavement is simply dried up and is coming apart in a lot of places. It's piled up along the roadway. While our crews were out observing the area, we've watched as cars actually eased over toward the left lane to avoid potholes.

We contacted Huntsville City Engineer Kathy Martin and she says the city is well aware of the problem. Martin says they've already reviewed what is needed and decided they will hire a contractor for the project. It will involve resurfacing about two miles of Wall Triana south of I-565. Martin says they expect to bid the project out this spring and work should get underway soon thereafter.
