There may be a science to it? OK, not likely. But there are numbers drawn for the Powerball Lottery more than others.

With high amounts at stake in recent drawings, many may be looking for a new strategy.

According to lottonumbers.com, the Powerball number most often drawn is the number 20. It has been drawn 75 times. That’s followed by 6, 29, 2 and 18.  13, which was the Powerball number in Saturday’s drawing, was not on the list for top 18 numbers most frequently drawn.

As far as the main draw goes, the numbers 26, 41, 16, 22 and 42 are drawn most often. Saturday’s drawing included four of the top 18 most commonly drawn numbers: 16, 19, 32, and 13 (in order of popularity)

Of course, some may feel the best option is to pick numbers that are “overdue.” If you follow that line of thought, lottonumbers.com says it’s time for “1” to be drawn. It hasn’t been drawn in the Powerball Lottery since May, 20, 2015 – 236 days ago.

Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2 each.
