U.S. Marshals arrest man wanted in Decatur murder

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) - Decatur Police say there has been an arrest in a December 28th murder. Members of the U.S. Marshal's Service Gulf Coast Regional Task Force arrested Alberto Gonzalez at a motel in the Birmingham area.

Gonzalez is accused of stabbing his wife, Yoliveth Gonzalez, multiple times. Yoliveth died from her injuries after being transported to the hospital for treatment.

Decatur Police says Gonzalez was taken into custody without incident. He's currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail. He will be transported to Decatur and booked into the Morgan County Jail later today. Bond has been set at $500,000.
