Man suspected of kidnapping, sexually abusing teen from Colorado arrested in south Alabama

COFFEEVILLE, Ala. – A Colorado man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Colorado was arrested in Coffeeville this morning. The teen he’s accused of kidnapping was found safe.

That’s according to WHNT News 19’s sister station KDVR in Denver,

Fechtler was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for sexual assault on a child in a position of trust, kidnapping and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

He was driving a light green 2007 Toyota Rav4 with Missouri license plate WH9K2U. The vehicle has rear damage and expired license plates (November 2015).

Longmont police said the Clarksville County Sheriff’s Office found the vehicle and arrested Fechtler, and the girl was found safe.
