Early morning house fire in Decatur

DECATUR, Ala. - Just before 5:30 this morning, Decatur Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire on the 100 block of 7th Avenue and 1st Street.

When they arrived, crews found flames coming from the back of the home and two vehicles on fire in the drive way.

WHNT News 19 spoke with the couple renting the home. When the owner woke up, he saw his cars on fire and ran out of the home with his girlfriend. He believes the fire to his cars were intentional.

It tooks crews about 30 minutes to get fire contained.

The fire is still under investigation. No one was injured.
