New Hope Police make arrest in stabbing case

NEW HOPE, Ala. (WHNT) – New Hope Police say they are investigating a Tuesday afternoon stabbing and have now arrested a man in connection with the crime.

Officers say the victim arrived at the Dot’s Dairy Den on Main Drive after being stabbed at another location. Madison County Sheriff’s Office Deputies received an emergency 911 call around 4:35 p.m.

Upon arrival they made contact with a man, 33, who had multiple stab wounds. Those were later determined to be non-life threatening.

Investigators eventually arrested Bobby Hodges, 22, of New Hope, Alabama and charged him with assault first degree. Hodges in currently in the Madison County Jail with a bond of $5,000.
