MADISON COUNTY, AL-- Students at Sparkman High School got in the holiday spirit Thursday morning. Social Studies students teamed up with students from the special learning program to present Christmas traditions from around the world.
The students presented music, food and culture from five countries.
This project was junior Cameron Mackay's first time working with students from the special learning program. He says it was an amazing experience.
"Broadening your spectrum and working with different kinds of kids can definitely enrich you as a person and it also helps them," said Mackay.
Mackay says sometimes teaching the special learning students was a challenge but even that was valuable experience.
"I really did enjoy trying to teach them, it was a great experience," said Mackay.
