One killed, 2 hurt in head-on crash on Tennessee highway

WAYNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WHNT) – Tennessee Highway Patrol officials confirm one person was killed, two others were hurt in a head-on crash.

It happened about 1 p.m. on Tuesday on Tennessee 13 and Middle Butler Road, near Collinwood in the Southgate Community.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Jason D. Roberson was killed in the crash. The report says he was not wearing a seat belt.

Authorities say a man, 65-year-old David Crews, and a woman, 65-year-old Nelda Crews, were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Their conditions are not yet known.

The crash report from the Lawrenceburg division of the Tennessee Highway Patrol says the vehicle Roberson was driving traveled into oncoming northbound traffic.
