RUSSELLVILLE, Ala (WHNT) – A Russellville man charged with multiple counts of attempted murder has admitted to the crimes against him.

In May 2014, Police say Baker tried to burn down a neighbors home after an argument.

Residents spotted Baker setting the fire and were able to escape without injury.

Franklin County court records show that 51-year-old Jeffrey Dewayne Baker pleaded guilty to arson in the first degree.

As part of his guilty plea, Baker will spend four years in state prison and the attempted murder charges that he originally faced were dismissed.
