BROWNSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) - Bright lights and a red-nosed reindeer can only mean one thing: the Christmas season has started, and so has Sam Ott's family traditions.
"We're looking for a Christmas tree," nack's Visitor Sam Ott said.
Through purchasing a live Christmas tree from North Alabama Canoe and Kayak (nack) in Brownsboro, the Ott Family is giving back to the Huntsville Dream Center, an outreach nack's Owner Scott Ammons supports.
"I think they are a great local outreach ministry, they touch a lot of good local organizations in Huntsville," Ammons said.
The Huntsville Dream Center is a collaboration of churches, schools and businesses in Madison County.
"The Dream Center is like a big umbrella for different outreaches and programs in our city," Director Chris Mitchell said.
Mitchell said their outreach matches their theme: "Building Bridges of Hope."
"Hope is a wonderful thing," Mitchell said.
Nack's trees are priced from $35 to $110 depending on height. For every tree purchase, nack is donating $10 back to the dream center. Ammons said the community has been good to his business and now he wants to give back.
"It's a blessing and the community is the reason we're doing good," Ammons said.
Nack is located at 1143 Moontown Road in Brownsboro, just off of Highway 231. They are open each day from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. For more information, call (256)529-0357 or visit their website.
The Huntsville Dream Center is an outreach and community service organization that supports 13 organizations. They connect with businesses, churches and organizations to "build bridges of hope" and offer time and resources.
