Huntsville Police investigate early-morning robbery and shooting

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Huntsville Police are looking for two people they say robbed and shot a man early this morning. It happened in the 3400 block of Oakwood Ave.

Emergency crews responded to the home around 2:00 Tuesday morning.

Officers arrived to find a man they say had been robbed and shot in the leg. Others were inside the home, but were not injured in the incident.

HEMSI took the victim to the hospital. He's expected to survive.

Huntsville Police used a K-9 unit to track the robbers, but haven't found them yet. WHNT News 19 has been told a man and woman were seen leaving the home. Police believe they know the names of the shooter and the woman involved.

Investigators sare looking for them in the Ardmore area.

Officers were on the scene for more than an hour.
