MADISON, Ala. – Crews have restored power to parts of Madison.

The outage affected an area from U.S. Highway 72 south to Interstate 565 and from County Line Road east to Wall Triana Highway.

A spokesman for Huntsville Utilities says customers should wait around 15 minutes before resuming normal power usage, including the use of heating systems.  Officials say slowly returning to normal usage will help prevent additional outages.
