FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – Members of a Lauderdale County jury spent their Saturday night deliberating a man’s fate. They returned a guilty verdict for Jeremy Williams in Florence. They went with the lesser charge of intentional murder instead of capital murder

The judge charged the jury before 5:00 Saturday evening, which starts the deliberation process.

Jurors went with the lesser charge of intentional murder instead of capital murder for the November 2013 murder of Brioni Rutland.

The medical examiner testified on Friday that Rutland was stabbed over seventy times.
