The FBI released these pictures of “John Doe 34” in hopes that someone will recognize him. They’ve had several tips come in and think they’ve been able to identify him and his location.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation says it believes agents have made headway in trying to determine the identity a person known as “John Doe 34.”  On Tuesday, the FBI released a photo and sketch of the young man in hopes that someone will recognize him.

On this link, you can also hear a short audio clip of his voice.  That made the FBI think the man may live in the south.

“It is now believed that tips generated from the November 17, 2015, publicity campaign have led to the identification and location (in the Southern region of the USA) of the individual in the photographs known as John Doe 34.  As of this time, no arrest warrants have been issued or served.”

The FBI did not give further comment on the investigation, but said it is thankful to the public for help with the case.

The FBI believes the young man may have critical information pertaining to the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.  Videos containing John Doe 34 first came to the attention of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in July of 2015.

John Doe 34 is described as a white male, likely between the ages of 18 and 25, with short brown hair and prominent brown eyebrows.

Initial videos of the male, shown with a child were first recorded by the NCMEC in July.  Investigators have enhanced some items in the background including a wooden armoire and a doll that someone may recognize.
