(HUNTSVILLE Ala.) – Visitors to downtown Huntsville will see more changes underway at Big Spring Park.  Sections of Big Spring Park East are closed to correct drainage problems and repair sidewalks.  The work is needed because of an old road that runs under that section of the park.  It’s been leaking and plants have grown up there, causing problems with the sidewalks.  City crews will use this opportunity to resurface the new sidewalks with brick paver borders. New benches are also being installed.  The $350,000 project is expected to be finished by April, 2016.
