LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. – A man imprisoned for a Lauderdale County murder will spend at least another five years behind bars. A state parole board denied parole for Timmie Kelley this morning in Montgomery.

Kelley pleaded guilty in 2003 to the murder of Troy Condrey, which happened three years prior to the plea.

Condrey’s friends and family started a petition to keep Kelley behind bars several months ago.

Kelley was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole as part of his plea agreement.
