LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. -- A hearing for Jeremy Leshun Williams is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lauderdale County. He's charged with the murder of Deshler High School coach Brioni Rutland in November of 2013.

Investigators say, Williams shot and stabbed Rutland after an argument about gambling debt; then dumped his body into the Tennessee River.

Rutland was a volunteer coach of football, track and basketball at Deshler. Before that, he was a football star at the same school during his own high school years.  He also played football for the University of North Alabama in 2004.
