Man pleads not guilty to manslaughter charge in deadly Colbert County wreck

COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. - A north Alabama man accused of causing a wreck which killed a man in the Shoals earlier this year has pleaded not guilty.

Robin Glenn Fike, 37, of Hillsboro has been indicted and arraigned for manslaughter in Colbert County Circuit Court.

State Troopers say Fike was driving a vehicle which struck the back of another car at the intersection of U.S. 20 and U.S. 43 on February 20, 2015. This happened during a police pursuit.

Thomas Ellenburg, 72, died as a result of the collision.

Fike's trial date is set for February 1, 2016.
