Huntsville Police investigate carjacking, then robbery of 4 people outside a local church

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Lt. Randy Owens with the Huntsville Police department says officers were called about a reported carjacking at gunpoint on Beasley Avenue NW. Investigators are looking into the claim a man had a gun and got away with a blue Chevy Cruz vehicle.

Police also received a call one block away from the reported carjacking scene saying the same person reportedly robbed four other people at St. Joseph Catholic Church then drove away.

Investigators say they are still working to identify a suspect. They believe the man responsible for both incidents is armed.
