ALEA Investigating officer-involved shooting in Walker County, no officers injured in incident

WALKER COUNTY, Ala. – The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into an officer-involved shooting this morning. It happened in Walker County after a chase that started in Homewood.

CBS Affiliate WIAT has confirmed with Homewood Police Department that one of their officers was involved in the shooting.

A police chase that began in Homewood and ended in Parrish led to the shooting.

An officer shot one of the people involved. He was taken to UAB by medical helicopter. Another person was taken into custody.

No officers were injured in the case.
