Athens Utilities repair outage, say it was caused by opossum

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Athens Utilities crews were busy late Sunday night repairing a power outage.  It hit after 9 p.m. Sunday.

All power was restored by 11 p.m.

The outage was in eastern Athens and Limestone County area, as far east as County Line Road.  Athens Utilities said the French Mill substation went down when a opossum came in contact with one of the substation breakers.
