HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The wait is over, and Cabela's is now open to the public in Huntsville.  Company executives and community leaders held a ribbon cutting ceremony shortly before 10 a.m. to a large crowd.

The store is located at 7090 Cabela Drive NW, near the intersection of I-565 and Research Park Blvd.

The first 500 customers through the door will receive a free Cabela's gift card valued at up to $500. They will also have a chance to win one of six Remington firearms. The company has a givaway planned for each day through Sunday.

If the parking lot is full, just head over to Bridge Street. The city is providing a shuttle from Bravo! to Cabela's Wednesday through Sunday. The shuttle will run 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. each day.

The 82,000-square-foot facility includes a cafe, fudge shop, gun library, bargain cave, boat shop and service center.
