FLORENCE, Ala. – A Lauderdale County jury has acquitted a man charged with sexually assaulting a woman and choking her.

Late last week, a jury found 26-year-old Theodore Alan Vaughn not guilty of rape, domestic violence, and domestic violence strangulation.  Vaughn was arrested in January and later indicted in April.

At the time of his arrest, investigators said Vaughn attacked the woman after something was sent from a cellphone by the victim.
