Madison County deputy goes above & beyond for young mother

HARVEST, Ala. – Any mom with a small child can use all the breaks she can get.

One Madison County Sheriff’s deputy stepped up Monday when he saw a young mother trying to do it all. She was juggling mowing her yard and caring for her baby.

Rachael Godsey Brindley said she wants this official to be recognized for such a sweet act of kindness.

“I was only mowing because it was such a beautiful day out and my hubby has been working so hard on a work project. I wanted to help him out and cut it myself,” Brindley said.

Highlighting the “serve” in “serve and protect,” the deputy stopped and finished mowing her yard for her.
