Challenger School

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Challenger School was released from a brief period of lockdown on Thursday.

The school was placed on lockdown when someone came inside the elementary side of the school and didn’t sign in.  The elementary and middle school were placed on lockdown as a precaution, and the entire school was released to continue with classes about 12:20 p.m.

“The office did what it was supposed to do, because the person who came in didn’t.  The person failed to follow proper check-in procedures,” said Keith Ward, spokesperson for Huntsville City Schools.
