Etowah County Sheriff’s Office hosts Run, Hide, Fight training for public

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) -Run, Hide, Fight is an active shooter preparedness course offered by the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office to local businesses, churches and the general public. The course is taught be Sheriff’s Office deputies.

The basic instructions for the course remains the same, no matter where an incident may occur: Run if you can to escape the danger; hide from the shooter if you can’t get away; and fight with whatever improvised weapons are available if there is no other option.

The next course will be taught August 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office. This is opened to the general public.
