DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT)- From Thursday to Sunday, people from across the country made their way through the largest yard sale in the world.

The sale begins in Gadsden, and ends in Addison, Michigan. Some vendors say it's their favorite event of the year. Jim Bradley, a Stock Salesman, agrees. "Good people, you have a lot of fun out here, you meet a lot of good people, and you never know what's going to pop up. There's usually something for everyone out here."

The massive sale covers 690 miles, with thousands upon thousands of sales along the way. John Strickland,  and his wife have been shopping the huge sale for 8 to 10 years. "We started on this end and worked our way all the way to Ohio basically, and then we've gone to the other end, and worked our way back," adds Strickland.

No matter what your interests are, or what you're searching for, there's a good chance you'll find it, with a little patience.

"You just need to be patient, take your time, not try to do it all in one day. But if you take your time and make you a list of what you may be looking for," says Strickland.

The state of Alabama was expected to have more than 1,000 vendors, ensuring that there is plenty to see along Lookout Mountain Parkway.
