Muscle Shoals PD ask for help tracking down potential car dealership thieves

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (WHNT) – A pair of potential thieves are working their way around the Muscle Shoals area, and police investigators said they are targeting car dealerships.

Investigator Ken Vess said this is the second time in two months a car dealership reported someone had switched the ignition keys and a car on a sales lot. The latest incident was caught on camera at Adam Rue Auto Sales.

Surveillance video shows two men pulling up to the lot in an older model blue Chevy Truck. Vess said one of men head inside the shop to distract the salesmen. He said the other man was caught on camera switching the ignition key to a yellow Mustang. He placed the Mustang key in his pocket.

Dead beat dads make up this week’s most wanted. Investigators with the Colbert County Sheriff’s Department are looking for the following for failing to pay child support:
