2 Alabama prison inmates escape from work release center

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Corrections officials in Alabama say two inmates have escaped from a work release center in Montgomery.

WHNT News 19’s news partner, AL.com, reports 32-year-old Jerry Alan Walker and 27-year-old Mark Wilson were reported missing from the Red Eagle Work Center at 10 p.m. Friday after a bed check.

Walker was sentenced to serve 20 years in 2008 after his conviction on a receiving stolen property charge in Montgomery County. Wilson was sentenced in 2008 to serve 25 years for a robbery in Montgomery County.
