MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – Madison County Commissioners will meet today on a variety of issues for its regularly scheduled meeting. One item included in the agenda: needed repairs to Carriger Road in north Madison County.

Crews closed the bridge months ago after someone found a hole in the pavement that went all the way through the bridge. The commission approved that repair. But, after further inspection by the Alabama Department of Transportation, the commission now has to discuss the additional cost of replacing three spans that are defective.

There is also an item on the agenda to enter into an agreement with Isbell Construction, Inc. regarding roadway repairs in District 4.

Another item of interest: the commission plans to execute a Letter of Intent to purchase property at 1001 Memorial Parkway North in Huntsville.

WHNT News 19 plans to be at the Madison County Commission Meeting this morning. It begins at 10:00 a.m. on the 7th floor of the Madison County Courthouse.
