Today: Alabama Alcohol Beverage Study Commission holds public hearing in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The co-chairs of the Alabama Alcohol Beverage Study Commission will be joined by area lawmakers  for a public hearing today, July 28th, in Huntsville.

The commission was created to study the state’s alcoholic beverage laws as they are related to the manufacture, distribution and sale of beverages. They want to look at the best practices and see if they are competitive and consistent with similar laws across the United States.

Three meetings are planned for across the state in Mobile, Hoover and Huntsville.

The Huntsville meeting is today at 2:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building. It’s located at 308 Fountain Circle in Huntsville.

The Commission will provide recommendations with legislation before the start of the 2016 legislative session.
