ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- In just over a week, downtown Albertville will be transformed into what is dubbed as "North Alabama's Premier Music Festival."

"Main Street Music Festival is next week, August 7th and 8th in downtown Albertville," Director of Community & Economic Development Melody Whitten says, "Of course the event is free to attend."

Whitten says the event features several big acts. "Our headliners this year are Tracy Lawrence on Friday night and then on Saturday night with Exile and .38 Special."

This year the event will also celebrate a milestone for a company that has been in Albertville for years. "We're highlighting Mueller this year. They're celebrating their 40th anniversary in Albertville," Whitten says.

Games, events, and contests will feature the company.

The event offers food vendors, a beer garden, and activities.

"We have a children's inflatable water park, we have lots of carnival rides, so there's something for everyone and we hope everyone will come out," Whitten says.
