The 2015 event drew an estimated 250 cybersecurity professionals from around the world.
One of the speakers was Dr. Fred Cohen. Cohen is perhaps best known as the person who defined the term "computer virus." He also invented many of the techniques used to defend against computer viruses.
Cohen said, "the main challenge is teaching people how to do what we knew how to do in the 50s and 60s."
"Most people in computers think everything happened in the last 10 years, but most of the stuff we actually know, we knew a lot longer," he added.
The conference continues tomorrow and will include a lecture on legal and ethical hacking, which involves detecting system vulnerabilities in order to guard against them.
