Car wreck just north of Salem claims the life of an Anderson teenager

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Lauderdale County teenagerĀ  around 5:20 p.m. Saturday evening.

18-year-old Trevor Ivon Starbuck was killed when the pickup he was riding in left the road on Alabama 99 and hit a tree.

Trooper Curtis Summerville said Starbuck was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, a 66-year-old man, was not injured.

Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate the accident.
