LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Limestone County Deputies are investigating a possible homicide on Copeland Road in Toney, Alabama. Authorities said they found a body at the location.

Deputies were called to the property after a woman said she received a voicemail from a family member asking for help.

When deputies got to the scene, authorities said they found a 37-year-old female who was unresponsive, and pronounced her dead.

Deputies said they transported the victim’s boyfriend to the Limestone County Jail where he is being interviewed.

“It’s still being investigated as a possible homicide because of some suspicious circumstances surrounding it,” said Stephen Young with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.

By two Sunday afternoon, a cause of death still had not been determined, according to officials.

“We can’t rule out that it wasn’t a homicide and we can’t rule out that it was,” said Young. “In terms of what we are leaning towards, percentage wise, that can change at any time.”
