MODESTO, Calif. – Police have named a 30-year-old man a person-of-interest in the deaths of five people whose bodies were found in a California home on Saturday.

Detectives are looking for Martin Martinez, of Modesto, and are asking anyone with information on Martinez and his whereabouts to call them. On Sunday morning, police said he had been located, but it was unclear if he had been taken into custody yet.

A Modesto police spokeswoman said officers responding to a request to conduct a welfare check discovered the bodies of three children and two adults Saturday afternoon.

Heather Graves said she didn’t know the circumstances of their deaths, or their relationship to Martinez.

Graves said detectives were waiting to receive court approval to enter the home and process the crime scene.

At this point, police have not revealed the identities of those killed or the cause of death, reports CBS San Francisco. One neighbor told the station that the family kept to themselves and was inside most of the time and they wouldn’t have recognized their faces if they saw them.
