Wesley Brenden Speegle, 24, wanted on charges stemming from multi-county chase

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. – Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office are looking for Wesley Brenden Speegle, 24, of Joppa. They say he’s wanted for a multitude of charges, including reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and attempting to elude.

The charges stem from an incident early Monday morning. Investigators say they tried to stop a vehicle around 2:00 a.m. for a traffic violation. But the driver, who investigators have identified as Speegle, didn’t stop. Instead, he led deputies on a chase, during which gunshots were fired from the vehicle.

The chase continued into Morgan County and ended in the area of Double S Mountain. Deputies say the driver then ran into a corn field. Deputies and K-9s assisted in the search. More shots were fired in the area during the search.

Deputies called off the ground search around 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Investigators ask you to call the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office if you have any information that can lead them to Speegle. Their phone number is (256) 582-2034.
