Three air ambulances called to scene of wreck in Colbert County

COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan says three air ambulances were called to the scene of a crash in Colbert County.

Authorities say the wreck happened on Alabama Highway 247, near the North Alabama Dragway race track.

IMG_3326A vehicle rolled and landed on its top. Authorities on the scene say three people were thrown from the vehicle, and all were airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.

Their ages and conditions are unknown at this time.

Traffic was blocked for both direction while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
